On the Occasion of a Five Mile Run

Running is a silly task

Even on a sunny day

Sun may wear a cheerful mask

But I found to my dismay

Though the sun does soar and shine

To my Father I do pray

"Let me see the ending sign

To the steps of the Kidd's house

There I rest these feet of mine"
